Nov. 2015 “Recent reports say gay marriages are increasing while heterosexual marriages remain stable – ‘The fears of the opponents of the 2013 bill have not materialized!’”

Aug. 2020 “Gay marriages are in decline as the growing community of gay couples, particularly among teenagers and those in their 20’s, express fears over the binding nature of a life-long commitment.”

May 2021 “Heterosexual marriages have been declining in recent years. Research shows that couples considering marriage don’t believe that state recognition is any incentive to commit.”

June 2029 “Recent statistics show that single parenting is at an all time high. The government will soon need to address its inability to service the cost. Statistically, births are way below replacement numbers (0.7%).”

April 2035 “Police commissioner believes the country is on the verge of social anarchy as police cannot keep up with alcohol related crimes committed by our youth.”

May 2038 “Small industry is suffering and some businesses are forced to close because of the inability of our young people to discipline their private lives. In Mr. Riley’s report he said – ‘People are coming to work drunk and just can’t seem to knuckle down to do a decent day’s work.’ These trends even seem to be expanding into an older age group. Government are considering moving funds toward youth training programs to combat the issue.”

July 2039 “Youth suicides continue to soar as government agencies have no answers.”

Sept. 2040 “Major Charlesworth, of the Salvation Army, presented a report to Government claiming that today’s social ills can be traced back to the removal of Bible-based moral norms in the fabric of our society. The Marriage Act of 2013 was cited as a prime example. The honourable Bill Smith lashed out saying that Charlesworth is simply looking for a “scape-goat” and that his comments were not researched and therefore were unfounded.”
